MICHAEL: 30’s-40’s. The older brother. A doctor, he has over-achieved in an attempt to be his father's son. Outwardly confident, he hides some insecurities and problems within. DAD: 60’s-70’s. The head of the family, who felt it a sign of weakness to show emotion, and used derision against the sons he loved as his way of pushing them to do their best. |
JERRY: 60’s-70’s. Dad's golf partner and a friend of the family. Often married, he is single now and viewed suspiciously by Dad.
MOM: 60’s. Caring, with a wry sense of humor. She relishes appearing not nearly as sharp as she really is. STACY: The youngest of the siblings, she is generally ignored by the rest of the family, until she reveals some startling facts about herself. JILL: Michael's beautiful but emotional wife, who is under pressure to produce the family's first grandchild. |
